Following on from a Competition First Prize award in Jan 2018, HRA are currently developing this scheme of 150 social and private apartments for tender and construction.

The design aims to retain a well-established wooded glade at the centre of the site and yet achieve the maximum site development potential. The architecture is kinked and chamfered to deny an obvious simplistic site geometry and thereby achieve a relaxed pavilion quality for the individual apartment blocks.

A continuous backbone of apartment to the north screens the site from the industrial estate adjacent. The design provides for a broad mix of apartment types and sizes. The project will achieve PASSIVHAUS standard;
